Recently I had trouble getting the key fob to operate any of them, but now none of them will lock from the fob or the interior lock switch. And i fixed the door locks thank to this tip all 4 doors are working great it was easy to do.I did it in just 1.5 hrs. It's a captive bolt which won't come out completely, you'll see the plug moving away from the male side. As for your driver side lock problem... There are a couple fuses and relays to check, and also the CSM (Central Security Module - less likely that this is the issue...) . My passanger side door lock works normally whether the truck is on or off.

When the remote is activated, no sound is heard in the driver's door. my power window buttons all work fine. You may want to mark it before prying the pins open so you know which side is which. 2000 Ford Explorer Door Lock Problems Yours might work the same way?

I'm sure you can go buy parts to fix it, but I just took a spare spring and hooked it up to that rod & everythings fine. Regards, Anant 0 | Reply - Share Hide Replies ∧Linda2 years 1 month agoI have a 2005 dodge caravan. check my blog It's much more likely to have a broken wire hidden within the insulation (plastic wire coating) from opening and closing the doors many times over the years. The rod is shaped like a hook at the very top which is hooked onto the door handle through an oval shaped hole. That checked out.

I don't know if it's an actuator in my truck...if it was, wouldn't the driver's door lock not lock or unlock? My doors will ONLY lock using the key fob. Do you get the click at the security module? Aquanaut is correct earlier in this thread when he said it's common for a wire to break in the driver's door accordian conduit. If he tries it yet again, only two actuate. Advertisement Feedback?
