Restarting the workbench using File > Restart does not work, but closing eclipse and starting again with -clean at the command prompt the keys start functioning again, without restart windows. I have tried many things, since in the beginning I needed CDT as well. It might be a workaround if you are a Eclipse developer, but not if you are an end user / customer with an RCP application running on Ubuntu Koala. But then, nothing's perfect, is it? Is there anything I can do to help fix the problem? Great stuff, thanks! On a related note, Lotus Notes is also affected by this -- it doesn't repaint its views at all, making it unusable.
I've found a simple workaround for those, such as Christine, who need to move forward on a project... Frustrating but at least I can get back to coding. Thanks in advance for taking the time in helping make the Eclipse platform better.
