When I hit the reset, I got a dos error message telling me no drives, including my "c" drive could be detected and to put in system disc. The drive activity lightshould flash a few times before the disk is ejected. They have this problem where if a drive becomes defective(which is not uncommon) then it infects any disk put into it making that disk defective. Login now. i don't feel like burning cd's for a few megs here and there. Some of the discs I bought new.
Also, I would still like to know if anyone knows which program is the BEST to use with both a CD-R/RW writer and a CD-R/RW/DVD writer in the same computer. This can be a little tricky since the manual eject lever is quite small. I tried another ZIP PS and itdoesn't eject the disk when pressed. However you may find it in the meantime. Check This Out I also installed an IDE Samsung SH-S182M cd-dvd writer, and the Nero 6 software which came with it.

My zip 650 seems to work with nero except I cannot eject a cd-rw data disk (formatted with Nero Incd) by using the external eject button on the drive. Some disk drives, especially those designed for Mac OS, will automatically eject the disk when you shut down the computer. Note: During summer 2008, UITS retired the last floppy disk drives in all Student Technology Centers (STCs) and Residential Technology Centers (RTCs).
