Got bit by this earlier. Although this works I think this should only be a temporary solution which needs to be fixed.
However, the software we use on this computer now had a licensing issue so I had to go about getting that fixed.. I use a Thunderbolt to Ethernet on a 2014 Retina Pro. Sure, it wasn't as easy as simply connecting to a Wi-Fi network to fix the problem, but it wasn't that hard, was it?
