Swapped all cables, ports etc for ones which we know work, still no joy. Take one Ethernet cable, and connect one end to any of the router’s LAN port, and the other end to the router’s WAN port. Tried connecting the laptop to the router via ethernet, no internet. What is happening? If the problem is caused by the cable, it will work after swapping the cable. Or so she told. And really, the problem remains..
Or so I've heard. Unplug the cable from the port and plug it into another port to see whether the problem resolves.
